Website ranking by speed
9th March 2010
Securing a good ranking for your Website is determined by many factors. The latest factor Google is considering placing importance on is the speed of your site. It seems that if your site is faster than your rival's it may secure a higher ranking in the future.

Over the course of 2009, Google was heard to be talking more and more about speed and how they want site owners to up their game and use newer faster servers. Google appears keen to do everything it can to make the Web a faster place. It seems that we must now connsider how fast our Website pages load as this may in future have a strong influence over where we are ranked on Google.

Spokesmen for Google have been reported to say that fast sites should be given some sort of pat on the back which, provided they are doing the other things right, should help improve their overall ranking. It seems sensible - everything else being equal you would want to use the faster site.
